architect Marija Lalošević, PhD
(1968, Belgrade, Serbia)

Marija Lalošević is an abstract artist whose work translates lived experience and the unspoken into layered visual structures. Drawing on rhythm, gesture, and mixed media, her paintings explore the tension between urban logic and intuitive expression, creating open visual systems that invite direct, sensory engagement. Art critic Dejan Anđelković characterizes her approach as a pursuit of “visual worlds in which abstraction becomes a mode of presence,” emphasizing the relationship between decisive gesture and sensitive handwriting that shapes the conceptual framework of her work. Marija works as a Research Associate in Architecture and Urban Planning at the Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia, Belgrade, Serbia.
